How accurate is this estimate?
It is built from 2021–2026 market rate ranges and is good for budgeting. Some items, such as sand, foundation, gate and paint, use assumed rates and are marked in the breakdown. Final cost depends on contractor quotes, design and site conditions.
How are future-year costs calculated?
Prices after the latest data year are projected from the recent growth in each material and labour rate, with growth capped at 15% a year and the range widened for uncertainty.
